Los Cocoteros/Charco del Palo

This area is predominantly for flat-water paddling. There has to be no wind or wind from W-N making it Offshore. The rock formations are amazing but to explore the small caves and inlets the sea has to be flat. The easiest entry into the water is from a small harbour at the salinas next to the village of Los Cocoteros, which is still in operation.

If you wish to go into the water in Charco del Palo you must carry the equipment down a cliff path and go in off the rocks.
When the swell is very large there is a point break on the beach south of Los Cocoteros but the beach is very unforgiving. The rocks are very sharp and if caught on the inside it can be dangerous.
