The Gecko

The Gecko has to be my favorite

Freestyle move.

Here I am using the Fanatic Free wave 115.

I am 60 kg so the 115 is large and difficult to get the nose under water.

But as you can see the pop is higher.

The Gecko is normally a 180º followed by a 180º pivot.

But when timed correctly with a wave it can be 360º in the air.

This one was only just past 180º but there was no wave plus very little wind.

It is also important to get the aerial one, to use the power in the back of the sail. So positioning is important.
